JP Accounting Services began business in 2005. The company is committed to providing exceptional accounting and tax services to small businesses in Calgary, Alberta and surrounding area. Customer service is always a priority and JP Accounting takes pride in its direct and personable approach. In October 2017, OWL Chartered Professional Accountants LLP recognized the shared commitment in providing top-tier customer service and added JP Accounting Services to its bookkeeping division.
OWL saw the opportunity to combine the strengths of the two companies and, as a result, be able to offer an even wider range of accounting and business consulting services to their new and existing clients. OWL is headed by Ka-Yee Wong, CPA, CA and Rubie Lam, CPA, CGA.
Ka-Yee received her Chartered Accountancy designation in 2002 and Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2015.
She has over 15 years’ experience specializing in Canadian personal and corporation income tax and compliance as well as the preparation of review and compilation engagements. Her clientele includes consulting, real estate, restaurant, oil and gas services, retail, health services and manufacturing.
Ka-Yee is committed to Calgary non-profit cultural organizations and community services. In 2017, she joined Rubie Lam, CPA, CGA to form OWL Chartered Professional Accountants LLP. Starting October, 2017 she is excited to lead and manage OWL’s new division JP Accounting Services and the valued business and personal tax clients.
Rubie has over 9 years of accounting and tax experience. She received her Certified General Accountant, Alberta designation in 2009 and Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2015.
Rubie is specialized in Canadian small business taxes, accounting and consulting which entails payroll, GST, dividends, family trusts and partnership filings. In addition, she is experienced in assurance engagements and internal control reviews. She excels at Notice to Reader, Review, Audit and Tax Engagements. Her passion is tax planning for her valued clients.
